As for the traveler's tree (Ravenala madagascariensis), the leaves, much tougher than those of the banana trees, are arranged in a distilled manner at the end of the stem forming a fan.
The inflorescences are brightly colored, orange and purple, and look like a bird of the islands.
Keep in a pot and place in direct sunlight, with frequent watering for rapid growth and fertilizer intake to promote bloom. Protect in winter.
