A surprising Syagrus from up high, it looks like a coconut tree, with a grey, thin, erect trunk and a crown of long erect palms. The white feathery inflorescence is followed by yellow orange fruit.
In the ground, place it in full sun or partial shade in a well-drained, fertile soil. It will grow quite fast and will reach 12 to 15 meters in height.
You can also grow it in a container indoors, where it will reach 3 meters. It requires warmth and humidity.
