It grows in a hard-to-reach valley in the province of Yunnan, in the south-east of China, near a village called Bingzhongluo, where it grows on limestone cliffs called 'Stone Gate', up to 1800 meters.

Description of Trachycarpus princeps

This legendary palm tree with blue-white leaves can reach 7 to 9 meters. The underside of the leaves is pure white on established plants. Very hard to find.
