Description of Camellia sinensis, tea tree

This evergreen tree can reach up to 6 to 8 meters in height. It is often cut into bushes to facilitate the picking of young leaves. Small creamy white fragrant flowers in autumn.

How to grow Camellia sinensis, tea tree

The tea plant loves moisture, and will enjoy the shade or the sun, in a drained soil, with regular water supplies.

Story time

The buds and the two or three youngest shoots are harvested weekly to produce the tea.
